The psychological warfare has started already ahead of Tuesday's Champions League match between Chelsea and Liverpool, with Mourinho stating that a win against the Scousers is inconsequential and that a win against Wigan is more important.

The match will determine who takes first place in Group G, however both clubs are guaranteed to go through to the next round regardless of the outcome. So in a way Mourinho is correct and a win against Wigan when Chelsea face them on Saturday in the Premier League is more important overall.

Yet many feel that this statement is a thin disguise, an attempt to boost the confidence of Liverpool and create a level of complacency within the Northern squad.

And they are pointing to the absence of Joe Cole on Saturday's game against Middlesbrough as proof - they feel that Cole was being saved for the match on Tuesday and that the injury excuse was just that and nothing else.

Well, the proof will be in the pudding - truthfully the starting line up will be indicative of the amount of weight placed on the game.

We think that Mourinho is placing alot of weight on this match, if only for the psychological advanatage a win against Liverpool at home will have for Chelsea.

Here's our prediction:

Cech
Ferreira - Carvalho - Terry - Del Horno
Cole - Essien - Lampard
Duff - Drogba - Robben

Bench: Cudicini, Geremi, Huth, Bridge, Gudjohnsen, SWP, C.Cole

Make no mistake, the crowd will be a big part of the match Tuesday as well, and all efforts should be made to drown out the Scousers if for no other reason but to make them feel as we do when we come out of the tunnel at Anfield - surrounded.
Our Verdict: Sing like you've never sung before
