Chelsea v. Villa Starting XI

Newsnow
Chelsea takes on Aston Villa at home in a bid to extend the Blues' winning streak this season to 7.

Chelsea's midfield is lacking in some regular starting players, opening up the possibility that John Obi Mikel will get his first Premier League start after a great performance in the CL in Bulgaria. Who else will start?

Robben is a possibility down the left, especially if Mikel plays down the right as he did mid-week. Boulahrouz is an option at right back, as he is back from being ill. However, with Carvalho's performance midweek being slightly lacking, Ferreira may stay at right back and Boulahrouz may move into the centre alongside Terry. Bridge proved himself once again in the same match, so will he make a start on Saturday as well?

Here is our predicted Starting XI:

Cech
Ferreira - Boulahrouz- Terry - A. Cole
Essien
Mikel - Robben
Lampard
Shevchenko - Drogba

Bench: Cudicini, Geremi, Bridge, SWP, Kalou

Aston Villa typically play a 4-3-3 formation and Essien will be used to shore up the back; Cole will start despite Bridge's performance midweek; Mourinho will continue to show faith in Shevchenko despite a lack of goals, and will attempt to utilise Robben and Lamps to feed the ball into him and get him the service he needs to tap one in.
Our Verdict: Shevchenko to score in this one!
