Chelsea blamed in Chinese Ruck

Chelsea's honoured Chinese guests, the Chinese Olympic team, quite obviously full of all those hallowed Olympic traits we all aspire to hold, went off on one on this week against QPR.

The game turned from a rather feisty 90 minutes, into a brawl in the second half, with Chinese Olympians performing flying kicks at QPR players, and QPR players fighting back -- so much so that one Chinese player ended up with a broken jaw.

The Chinese team manager seemed to indicate that it was not good (obviously) and that it didn't matter who started it, it just was not good. Strange statement, to end a strange event really.

There is no doubt here that Chelsea will somehow be in trouble for this one. Afterall, like a misbehaved party guest that Chelsea has brought along with them, the Chinese team certainly did seem to "start it"; we brought them to the "party" we must be responsible for them. Well, either the team as a whole, or Frank Lampard himself, who seems to get the blame for everything else.

Seems to be that these guests of ours are stirring things up quite a bit -- first the showers weren't good enough, then Wednesday's match wasn't quite up to par so they decided to liven things up with a few roundhouse kicks.

If the hope in bringing in the Chinese Olympians was to strengthen the brand in Asia, this may have done it - when in need of promotion in future, all other Premiership teams take note, why not fly in some feisty brawling Olympians and keep things interesting!
