Continuing the theme of recent weeks, Saturday brings another very important and pivotal league fixture for Chelsea.

This time, we welcome Middlesbrough to Stamford Bridge.

Having lost the reverse fixture earlier in the season, the confidence amoung Garath Southgate's boys will be bubbling. You don't have to look far in the media this week to confirm that - the likes of Boateng and Viduka both feeling they can do the league double over Chelsea, even though the latter may not feature due to injury.

Unfortunately, our own injury situation is still there, although with the Captain's expected full return, the team will have the welcome boost they have been looking for. Michael Ballack is a major doubt due to a thigh injury he picked up on International duty. Wayne bridge too is doubtful having also suffered a thigh problem.

In addition to John Terry, Arjen Robben and Khalid Boularouz are both expected to return. So the injury baton has been passed over rather than put away, and we are still quite some distance from a fully fit squad.

I am going to go with a very attacking line-up, 4-1-2-1-2 as follows:

Cech
Geremi - Terry - Carvalho - Ferreira
Makelele
Mikel - Essien
Lampard
Shevchenko - Drogba

Essien will return to the engine room, after a long impressive spell at the back, and Lampard will push forward in behind the strikers. With both Bridge and Ashley Cole out, the left back position will go to Paulo Ferreira.

Expected bench: Cudicini, Boulahrouz, SWP, Kalou, Robben

Chelsea (from): Petr Cech, Carlo Cudicini, Paulo Ferreira, Geremi, John Terry, Khalid Boulahrouz, Ricardo Carvalho, Michael Essien, Claude Makalele, Frank Lampard, Obi Mikel, Lassana Diarra, Nuno Morais, Wayne Bridge, Arjen Robben, Didier Drogba, Andriy Shevchenko, Wright-Phillips, Kalou.
Our Verdict: 2-0 and three needed points
