Wayne Bridge started for Chelsea on Saturday in what many are calling a stunning display for an injured man.

Just this week, Bridge suffered a thigh injury and had to pull out of England's International Friendly against Spain -- rumours had it he would be out for at least 3 weeks, and media agencies everywhere were jumping for joy at the prospect of another Chelsea defender being injured.

Many ruled Bridge out of the starting line-up on Saturday against Middlesbrough, and thoughts were turning to Ferreira as stand-in leftback for the match.

Saturday came though, and all concerns were allayed, as Bridge was announced as part of the Starting XI.

The left-back was fundamental in feeding the ball through to team mates up front, and helped Chelsea to win the match with immaculate crosses. His speed was essential in the first part of the game in creating many opportunities for the Blues, and he partnered well with Lampard and Kalou to get the ball into the box, pulling away defenders time and again.

Nice work for a man with a thigh injury!
Our Verdict: He heals up quick doesn't he?!
