Wednesday's match against Man City will see the return of skipper John Terry to the Chelsea starting eleven, as the Blues play to edge ever closer to Man U and first place in the league. But who else will start?
No players are listed as injured in the side, other than Joe Cole; Drogba, Essien and Ballack have all seemed to have recovered from the knocks they got in the FA Cup match over the weekend against Tottenham.
This, combined with Terry being fit to play, means that the starting eleven will be very strong - something that is needed in light of recent 1st half performances.
That said, here is our predicted starting XI:
Cech
Diarra - Terry - Carvalho - Bridge
Makelele
Essien - Ballack
Lampard
Shevchenko - Drogba
Bench: Cudicini, Cole, SWP, Robben, Kalou
Bridge will slot in for Cole, who is in need of some recovery after a hard match on the weekend marking Berbatov and will see some time on the bench. With Terry at the back, the midfield can afford to take on the more attacking Diamond formation, with Lampard at the tip, feeding through to Sheva and Drogba; the aim will be to come in strong, take a solid lead and hold it (preferably not a 1-0 lead of course).
Our Verdict: A win creates a 6 point gap!
