Chelsea's injury list is the highest in the league this week, with a total of 8 players out - the list has yet to add John Terry. However, 5 of those players are expected due back in action by Nov 22 to see Chelsea face Newcastle at the Bridge, and in plenty of time to be ready for Cl action the following week and Arsenal at the Bridge on the 30th.
While Joe Cole, Ashley Cole, Carvalho, Belletti, Alex, Cech, Essien, and Di Santo are all listed as officially out of action; Cech, Joe Cole, Ashley Cole, Carvalho and Belletti are all rumoured to be returning by Nov.22. Michael Essien is not expected due back until March 2009, Di Santo is expected to return to action in early December.
Di Santo's return is welcome news to Blues fans - Drogba's potential 3 match ban after the retaliation incident at Burnley last week would stretch Chelsea resources again and having an extra available forward on the bench is a positive thing.
John Terry's injury has been assessed, however, he is traveling with the England side this week and will be assessed by FA doctors Monday to determine whether he will participate in the match in Berlin.
