CR Ticker Troubleshooting

The ticker will not run on my computer

Please ensure you have the Microsoft .NET framework 1.1 installed on your machine. Please visit the Microsoft Windows Update website and update your operating system.

Unable to obtain latest rumours

If your ticker cannot obtain the latest rumours, it could be for several reasons:

- The Chelsea Rumours website was down
- Your internet connection was down
- You connect to the world wide web via a proxy

Please try running the ticker again, if problems persist, please check your network settings.

Unable to find ticker after changing screen resolution

If you have recently changed your desktop resolution to a smaller size than before, the ticker may be situated outside the visible area. To cure this, either enlarge your resolution again and move the ticker to the top left of the screen, or uninstall and reinstall the ticker again.

I've downloaded setup.exe, but it says the file is corrupted when I try to run it

Due to a bug with some versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer, occasionally small files such as this will not complete correctly. To fix, try downloading it again - or use the latest version of your browser.

Memory usage seems a little high for such a small application

The ticker is written to work with the .NET runtime environment, and the managed environment allocates more memory than necessary to ensure program stability. The actual memory usage is far less than that reported by Task Manager.

How do I uninstall the ticker?

Go to your Control Panel, and click on the Add/Remove Programs icon. Find "CR Ticker version x.xx" and click remove.
